For this 6-track, 59-minute album, we see Winans beautifully steer his talent towards more soothing, spacious productions in order to, well, make himself – as well as the listener – comfortable. Originally written for and performed at a Showga event, which is MC-led yoga with live electronic music, A Genuine Effort to Make You Comfortable is made of incredible washes, brilliant storytelling, and deep, hypnotic layers of lamentation – and hope, too. Quite simply, you've never heard Roche like this before. It's a return to nature, to the eternal unknown; it's a surrender to the ebb and flow of life, love, grief, and joy. Perfect Location is profoundly pleased to be able to release this work as label's debut.
